Update a day is an SEO strategy that is truly powerful!

It’s a simple concept. Basically, update one or more items on a website per day, every day. This will create major SEO gains for the website on Google and other search engines.

Search engines like Google are looking for the most recent and relevant content as well as the highest quality websites. Quality of content often comes after much editing and updating for current times. When a website does this consistently and offers up-to-date information, Google rewards it with higher search positions.

So what to update? I recommend doing a website walk, then identifying any little things that can be updated. Adding additional information or changing out old info is a good way to go.

Other ideas are adding more pictures, more pages, or adding a blog post. Another thought, if you’re running out of things to update, is to go to competitor’s websites in other cities and look at what they are doing on their website to see if there’s anything to borrow.

Do not copy the text! I only mean borrow from the sense that you write your own copy around the idea that they were doing. It’s extremely important that you do not copy the text. Duplicate content from another website will cause major SEO issues.
