Netflix just announced a new project that ties neatly with the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 called Cyberpunk Edgerunners!
Here’s what Netflix put on their Facebook page:
Night City is about to explode. In 2022, CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS, an original anime series by Studio Trigger, tells an all-new story set in CD PROJEKT RED‘s #Cyberpunk2077 universe.
So apparently this is going to be a collaborative project between CD PROJEKT RED, Netflix and Studio Trigger who was also responsible for other anime titles like Kill La Kill, Little Witch Academy, SSS Gridman and Promare.
This should be exciting. The animation offering of Netflix has been nothing short of amazing and they even added the classic Yu Yu Hakusho aka Ghost Files aka Ghost Fighters in their list of available anime titles today!
