Mulan Live-Action Film Gives Credit to Uighur Concentration Camps – The Fanboy SEO

Another nail to the already controversial coffin for Disney’s live-action adaptation of Mulan has surfaced and its one that’s really deplorable and abominable.

The film is already out on Disney Plus and can be available for viewing for an additional $30 on top of the usual Disney Plus subscription and stars Yifei Liu a Fa Mulan. So far, the film has garnered 55% from audience while it got 77% from critics according to Rotten Tomatoes.

And now we get another big boo-boo for the film as apparently, the film gave credits to several offices and places that are considered “concentration camp” for Uighurs aka Chinese Muslims. This human rights abuse issue has also become a subject for HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.

Here’s additional info:

Who are the Uighurs? The Uighurs are a mostly Muslim Turkic ethnicity who regard themselves as culturally and ethnically close to Central Asian nations. The majority live in Xinjiang, where they number about 11 million people. The region’s economy has for centuries revolved around agriculture and trade.

And check out this screenshot from the credits of Mulan 2020.

I also find it funny that after the Xinjian credits, we also see that they credited “American Humane”; animals. They were looking out more for the animals than people with different religions other than theirs.

Such horror. Check out this story posted by The Guardian.
