For nonprofits whose target audience is primarily underserved youth, the task of finding funding shouldnt be difficult. Established in 1954 by WHAS-TV, WHAS raises money for agencies, schools, and hospitals to better the lives of special needs children. The academic component assists youth who are often significantly behind in basic skill development in obtaining a high school diploma or state high school equivalency credential. Applications are due June 15 and December 15.
