Why would you pay for social media marketing support?

It’s fairly simple right? Post some content aka pictures, images, text, and videos online then people will find your content and you will attract new business.. 

Unfortunately social media doesn’t work like that, truthfully thats the bare minimum effort to keep you ‘active’. Although this is where so many social media companies tell you thats what they can help you do. It’s not enough… Yes we said it, active is not enough.

Don’t forget not every social media platform is the same, so you need a social media marketing company or expert to be able to help you find your preferred target market. For example Twitter is great for news and bloggers, yet LinkedIn is better for professionals and business minded people. 

Remember not every platform is for you, yet Instagram and Facebook are the leaders in the industry at the moment. TikTok is on rise, with by far the best engagement at the moment.

Don’t pay for stock images

Firstly you can get FREE stock images online from various sources to help keep you ‘active’ and it won’t take you long at all to do, you can literally post some images on the weekend and schedule them to be released one a day via Facebook. 

Thats maybe an hours worth of work in your free time, with FREE stock pictures for your whole weeks worth of posting content. This sort of activity you DOES NOT need a social media company for.

‘ACTIVE’ is not enough

A social media company should be keeping you active at the bare minimum, but also increasing engagement, creating content and looking at demographics and data to help you grow on social media. 

Thats optimising your content and additional text matching your visual content to encourage a response from your followers and potential followers online.

Another way may be engagement baiting techniques that will help organic reach before even looking at paid advertising campaigns. This is keeping you active whilst having your target market in mind, to encourage growth without too much outgoings at first.

This is NOT getting a FREE stock image from a source online in hopes that a simple post will attract some sort of engagement.. If your social media company is doing this they lack creativity, lack knowledge and unfortunately may be costing misspent potential adverting funds.

Paid adverts are the key (If done correctly)

Be very carful when it comes to advertising spend and what is considered an advert on social media. ‘Boosting’ some FREE stock images via Facebook is not how to get the most from your money or increase engagement.

Creating Ad campaigns via Facebook ads manager is the ONLY WAY you can fully optimise your content to get the best ROI and increase your chances of success on social media. You create more in depth targeted ads that perform much better, increasing conversions that actually bring you a higher profit.

This works for Facebook and Instagram, by using the built in and free to use platform ‘Ads Manager’ option on your Facebook profile home page. As you may already know Facebook own Instagram and thats why this is a joint advertising platform area.

What a social media company should be able to provide at minimum:

• Fully optimised content that is presented perfectly on social media, thats not just FREE stock images. Thats edited and optimised content fitting perfectly via posts, stories and all at the right dimensions so that no text, information or image is missing. Optimisation of content is vital to increase chances of your advert being read properly, it’s fairly simple to do with the right graphic apps and software.

• A in depth knowledge of how to advertise on each desired platform of choice, thats not boosting posts or wasting money on poor quick adverts. It’s in depth fully managed and created advertising campaigns on various platforms, fully optimised content to bring the best ROI and produced in a professional manner.  We mention Facebook and Instagram on here mostly because they are the most used, yet misunderstood. 

Content creation is a vital part to being unique online and advertising more effectively, companies spend billions per year on content creation alone.  

Thats hiring videographers for you video adverts, or photographers for your very own unique images to share of you, your business, your products, or your service. Thats not overused free stock images everyone has access to.. 

Content creation could also be graphic design work or very creative marketing materials such and characters, or mascots of sorts, that you can use to also make you and your business unique and really stand out.
