TikTok Tips and Tricks for Businesses – 10 Tips
1 – Business content use #learnontiktok. 5 or less hashtags in total.
2 – Keep your content to 11-15 seconds (at least 10), quick punchy tips, go with multiple posts vs longer videos
3 – Vertical video content, shoot in-app and use creative tools and effects! Native video is best
4 – Leverage discover page trends. Lean into relevant trends whenever possible. Put song track on – volume if needed, but still use a trending song.
5 – Grab attention in the first 2-3 seconds if possible, something that catches people’s eye and make them pause from scrolling through their feed.
6 – Experiment with different types of content to see what connects with viewers the best
7 – Optimize your profile – nice profile picture and video, short bio, add links to IG, YouTube and any other options they add in the future, etc.
8 – Don’t overthink it, just start to create content and see what happens. Think of TikTok like Twitter but with video. Just very short thoughts, tips, moments, etc.
9 – Just be yourself and speak to the camera like you would a person. Visualize somebody standing there and just have a conversation!
10 – Follow other people that fit your style to get ideas and inspiration. And engage with them and others! Reply to all comments, etc.
