Describe your role in OOm

My role here as an account executive is to manage portfolios after the sales team has closed sales. Ensuring that all my clients business goals and objectives are met, as well as giving them some advice to help their business soar to greater heights.

Essentially, I feel that my role is important as I get to develop strong bonds between my clients and myself, thus helping OOm retain and continue the business relationship together.

Who is the one person you trust the most at OOm?

Wyvan Xu, co-founder, COO. He is the person who I trust the most, as he believed in me since my first day on the job, or even during my interview with him. I actually had little knowledge in digital marketing, but somehow Wyvan saw something in me and hired me regardless of my inexperience. It is nice to know that someone sees value or potential growth in me.

What are some of the lessons you’ve learned while working at OOm?

Communication is super important, especially when we need to hand over certain accounts or someone is on leave! When we have effective communication within the company, we can get the job done faster. Otherwise, we will be wasting a lot of time when we are faced with urgent cases. If not, we will get haunted by the management team.

How did you discover OOm?

From a mutual friend.

Tell us more about your hobbies and interests in life

– Video Games

– Playing sports (soccer, basketball, badminton, etc)

If you could be a superhero for one day, who would it be? Why?

Iron Man! I know he has no powers aside from his suit, but if I were to be him for a day, I could fly around and sign Stark Industries over to me. From there, I make my own suits!

If you could choose another profession, what would it be? Why?

I have always wanted to be a Chartered Certified Accountant. POA was my best subject in secondary school, and I have a degree in Accounting and Financial Management. Unexpectedly, I was offered this position, and now, my current aspiration for the near future is to become an Account Manager before 30 years old.

Outside your role in OOm, what are your talents or skills?

Not much talent, but I enjoy gaming. I used to join and represent a local e-sports team for video game competitions since my secondary school days.

What is your definition of happiness?

My definition of happiness is to be able to achieve the client’s expectation or beyond the client’s expectation.

What do you love about OOm?

It is definitely the people here! In the organisational aspect, a company is just a place, but the people here have never failed to make me feel like home.
